空軍の下士官および非飛行将校のための基本的な軍事および技術訓練を実施する責任を負うアメリカ空軍である第２空軍 (Second Air Force: 2AF) [wikipedia] は、NASが主催するGenCyberというプログラムを通じて、本拠地のキーズラー基地 (Keesler Air Force Base)  [wikipedia] のあるミシシッピ州立大学[wikipedia]と協力して地元のK12（幼稚園から高校）までの学校の先生のためのサイバー教育をするようですね...

こういう交流は、ある意味税金の有効活用ですよね...

Keesler Air Force Base and Mississippi State University partnered to bring the National Security Agency’s GenCyber program to local K-12 teachers for a 5-day cyber camp here, June 3 - 7.	キースラー空軍基地とミシシッピ州立大学は、国家安全保障局の「ジェン・サイバー」プログラムを地元の幼稚園から高校までの教師に提供するため、6月3日から7日までの5日間、同基地でサイバー・キャンプを開催した。
The NSA’s GenCyber program provides multiple cybersecurity experience camps, focused on students, teachers and a combination of both. These camps provide opportunities to gain more experience and increase student diversity in cybersecurity colleges and career readiness pathways at the secondary level. This recent camp facilitated teacher readiness within a learning community to help them learn, develop, and deliver cybersecurity content for the secondary classroom in collaboration with other nationwide initiatives.	この最近のキャンプでは、他の全国的な取り組みと協力して、中等教育向けのサイバーセキュリティ・コンテンツを学び、開発し、提供できるように、学習コミュニティ内で教師の準備を促進した。
“The idea for this camp is to build capacity in teachers able to instruct cybersecurity back in their school districts,” said Shelly Hollis, MSU Director of Center for Cyber Education. “For many years, we’ve taught subjects such as digital citizenship, being safe online and not sharing your password. Nineteen teachers from local school districts learned about cybersecurity essentials: the use of Raspberry Pi, building and programming with VEX Go Robots and creating their own lesson plan they presented to their peers. They also toured tech training career fields where cybersecurity is prominent including the Air Traffic Control MaxSim at the 334th Training Squadron and the 333rd TRS’s Escape room and tunneling lab.	地元の学区から参加した19人の教師たちは、サイバーセキュリティの要点について学んだ。ラズベリー・パイの使用、VEX囲碁ロボットの製作とプログラミング、独自の授業プランの作成などを学び、仲間たちに発表した。また、第334訓練飛行隊の航空管制マックスシムや、第333訓練飛行隊の脱出ルームやトンネル実験室など、サイバーセキュリティが重視される技術訓練分野も見学した。
Aligned with the Mississippi Cyber Initiative and the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity, this collaboration raises cybersecurity awareness and allows for the exchange of the best practices, emerging trends and innovative approaches to cybersecurity education between the installation and local community.	ミシシッピ・サイバー・イニシアチブおよび国立サイバーセキュリティ・センター・オブ・エクセレンスと連携したこの協力は、サイバーセキュリティに対する意識を高め、サイバーセキュリティ教育におけるベストプラクティス、新たなトレンド、革新的なアプローチを、施設と地域社会の間で交換することを可能にする。

The GenCyber program aligns with the goals of the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program in order to provide awareness of college and career pathway opportunities for secondary students and educators. GenCyber programs are offered in four formats:	GenCyber プログラムは、国立サイバーセキュリティ・センター・オブ・エクセレンス(NCAE-C)プログラムの目標に沿ったもので、中等教育の生徒や教育者に大学進学やキャリアパスの機会を提供することを目的としている。GenCyberプログラムは4つの形式で提供されている：

GENCYBER RESOURCES:	GenCyberリソース
GenCyber is an important component of the national cybersecurity education ecosystem. Several resources are available to our federal partners, camp hosts and the general public to ensure that cybersecurity awareness and education remain at the forefront of our program’s mission. 2015-2019 GenCyber 5-Year Report: When the GenCyber program got its start, we were unsure of what to expect, but we were excited at the prospect of reaching the future cybersecurity workforce at a much younger age and what that would mean for the nation. This report is the results of a five-year study to determine the effectiveness of GenCyber at reaching its goals. This report has found that GenCyber has been successful at accomplishing many of its goals, though in different ways and at varying degrees.	2015-2019 GenCyber 5年レポート： GenCyberプログラムがスタートしたとき、私たちは何が起こるかわからなかったが、将来のサイバーセキュリティの労働力をはるかに若い年齢で獲得できるという見通しと、それが国家にとって何を意味するかということに興奮した。本報告書は、GenCyber の目標達成の有効性を判断するための 5 年間の調査結果をまとめたものである。本報告書では、GenCyber が、その方法や程度の差はあれ、多くの目標を達成することに成功していることがわかった。
